The Strategist

The most unpleasant eventuality becomes no more than a nuisance once The Strategist has prepared for it. With perseverance he will one day turn to find that his journey has been successful.

We provide managed services.  You might say "outsourcing," but that's a completely different industry.  Outsourcing is about sending a component of your business away from your company, where it is executed with little interaction from you.  As a software development project it may have high-level management from you, but once the scope has been defined, the daily execution goes on without you.  As a business component such as human resources or accounting or payroll, the outsourced services can be entirely delivered without extensive interaction with the provider - their task is clearly defined.  We don't provide outsourcing.  We provide managed services.

What's The Difference?

As a managed service provider we have an investment in the success of the project.  Managed services is about bringing a service's management into your business, so that the execution continues to take place under your control and interaction.  You should never take your IT resource management and send it out of your company.  You want to keep it close to you, where you can see what it's doing and interact with it.  What you do want to do is manage those resources intelligently.  Use the economy of scale that a provider such as ourselves brings, with our clearly-defined services such as monitoring and response or configuration management -- services which have a steep learning curve for internal implementation.   By plugging our services into the needs of the business, you can expand your functionality quickly, for less than what you would spend otherwise on equipment, resources, and knowledge.
