Arces uses many open source technologies as part of service delivery, some of which are visible to customers and some of which provide internal functionality.  We choose open source applications which are stable, well-written, and easily extendable through an API or plugin architecture.  Sometimes we extend these applications to provide additional functionality or to perform a function better than they originally did.  We often write addtional software to interact with the applications, including scripts for management or to automate tedious internal processes which would otherwise have to be performed manually. 

Here you will find our own blog, recording our experiences while interacting with the software we use on a daily basis.  You'll also find our extensions and enhancements to these open source projects so that the community can benefit from our experience as much as we have benefitted from their efforts.
